Rentals operate on a week-to-week basis and renew automatically every seven days. To cancel, simply provide five days' written notice before the end of your current rental period. Fixed-term rentals of 30, 60, or 90 days are also available. All rentals include unlimited mileage.
Your first payment is due at the time of signing. Payments not received by 11:59 PM on the due date will incur a $25 late fee per day. If payment is not received within 48 hours of the due date, we reserve the right to disable or repossess the vehicle.
Additional charges may apply for:
Fuel: $50 or actual cost (whichever is greater) if returned below the check-out level
Lost keys: Up to $500 for replacement and reprogramming
Lockout: $185 locksmith fee
Excessive cleaning: $150
Tire damage: $100 per tire | Rim damage: $150 per rim
Smoking or uncrated pets: $150 each
Traffic violations, tolls, and parking tickets (plus a $35 processing fee if handled by us)
Renters must provide a valid auto insurance card and declarations page showing comprehensive and collision coverage. Your personal policy serves as the primary insurance for the rental.
If you don't have personal auto insurance, we can arrange third-party coverage.
Only approved, licensed drivers may operate the vehicle. Additional prohibited uses include off-road driving, racing, towing, transporting hazardous materials, or any illegal activity.
The vehicle must remain within the Commonwealth of Virginia at all times unless prior written consent is obtained from Rivermark Rentals. The vehicle may be equipped with GPS tracking technology.
Any accident, theft, or damage must be reported to us immediately. Renter is responsible for all repair costs, loss of use, and diminished vehicle value not covered by insurance, regardless of fault.
The renter must be present during the check-in inspection. Any damage discovered at check-in that was not documented at check-out will be presumed to have occurred during the rental period. The vehicle must be returned in the same condition — interior and exterior — as when it was received.
Rivermark Rentals is not responsible for any personal items left in the vehicle. Please ensure you remove all belongings before returning your vehicle.
By renting with Rivermark Rentals, you agree to the full terms outlined in our Motor Vehicle Rental Agreement. All disputes are subject to binding arbitration under Virginia law.
