How can I rent a vehicle?
To qualify for a vehicle rental, customers must satisfy the following requirements:
Age: Renters must be at least 25 years of age.
Driver's License: A valid, government-issued Virginia driver's license with a legible photo is required.
Proof of Income: Renters must provide a recent document — issued within the last 30 to 60 days — that clearly displays their full name and current residential address. Accepted documents include:
Pay stubs
Bank statements
W-2 or 1099 forms
Bookkeeping records
Social Security or pension statements
Tax returns (Form 1040)
Profit and loss statements
All submitted documents must be current and legible to be accepted for verification.
Do you provide insurance for the rental vehicles?
Yes, we offer insurance coverage for an additional fee. However, we recommend using your own insurance if possible. Our team can help verify if your policy covers rental vehicles.
Do I need to provide a deposit to rent a car?
No deposit is required to rent from us.
What is your screening process for drivers?
We conduct a thorough screening process that includes a background check and driver’s license verification. This ensures the safety of our vehicles and passengers, maintaining a high standard of service.
What documents do I need to bring when picking up my rental car?
You’ll need to bring a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance (if using your own). Having all documents ready will help ensure a quick and easy pickup process.
Where can I pick up the rental car, and do you offer delivery options?
We will provide a convenient pickup location for you to start driving your vehicle.
What forms of payment are accepted for renting a car?
Rivermark Rentals accepts payment via Debit/Credit Cards, Zelle, Cash App, PayPal, and Venmo.
Can I drive out of Virginia?
Please be advised that all vehicles are restricted from leaving the state of Virginia.
If a vehicle crosses the Virginia state border, it will be automatically disabled, and the security deposit will be forfeited.
Can I insure the rental car with my auto insurance?
To use your personal auto insurance for your rental, you'll need to provide your insurance card and the declarations page of your policy. Your policy must include comprehensive and collision coverage and be eligible for transferable coverage. All insurance information will be verified during the booking process.
No Auto Insurance? No Problem.

Can I rent a vehicle with an out-of-state license?
Only individuals who have a physical Virginia License in hand can rent our vehicles.
Can I book a car for someone else?
You can not book a vehicle for someone else.
Please note that vehicle bookings must be made directly by the individual requiring the vehicle.
Are vehicles pet friendly?
Pets are allowed in rental vehicles; customers must keep pets crated.
Vehicles must be returned in clean condition and free of pet hair to avoid cleaning/detailing fees.
